How was your onboarding experience at 99?
I was warmly welcomed by all the employees at 99, whom I found very friendly and open. This made me feel comfortable very quickly.
We have a support system in which the “MOP” looks after his or her MOPees throughout their careers. As soon as I arrived, my MOP gave me all the necessary information regarding corporate culture and company structure. We regularly discuss my current projects and objectives, but also, and most importantly, my MOP supports me in my career development and gives me sound advice. We’ve established a very good MOP/MOPEE relationship over time, and communication is easy, honest, constructive, and sustainable.
The integration of newcomers is also promoted through internal events: regular team lunches and after-work drinks, weekend getaways, all of which create a sense of belonging to the “99 family”, which is essential when you are on assignment for several months.
What projects have you been tasked with?
My very first assignment was in the legal department of a CIB, within the Capital Markets team, where I was in charge of carrying out an inventory of their contract models. I’ve travelled to London several times as part of this project.
At the end of this first project, the client requested assistance for the COO of the legal department in innovating and digitalising the domain on a global level. It was a long project, but very exciting!
How does the firm help you grow?
The MOP plays an important role in a consultant’s development. I regularly talk to my MOP about the type of assignments and customer markets I would like to work on. These discussions are valuable for guiding me through my career development and personal progression.
In addition, 99 Advisory offers regular training on various subjects to help us improve our skills more quickly.
How do you fit into the 99 Advisory values?
MARKER: Meritocracy, Ambition, Respect, Kindness, Excellence, Responsibility. The 99 Advisory values not only reflect my personal values, but they also reflect the foundations and internal operations of the company.
What do you like about the corporate culture?
Being involved in the life of the firm! We have a quick call every Monday morning that keeps us informed of new contracts, new recruits, the assignment of consultants to clients, and the dates of the next after-work drinks. 😉 All these “internal meetings” create a strong relationship between employees at all the 99 Advisory offices.
